Truth or Consequences, New Mexico (yes, that is really the town's name) is home to about 6,500 people and sits in the middle of the desert.

The town hasn't changed much since the 1950s, but it's now home to a beacon of the future.

Right outside town sits Spaceport America, a facility that commericial space flight companies like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic use for launching missions to space. Since opening in 2011, twenty missions have successfully launched from here.
