Straw Sculptures in Japan

Places

Check out these amazing hay bale sculptures from a farm in Japan. Each year after rice is harvested in the Kagawa Prefecture and Niigata Prefecture, the leftover straw is used to create these fantastic works of art for families to enjoy. Traditionally used to thatch roofs, the same technique is used to cover wooden frames in the shape of wild beasts and structures.
